Well we made it to Whistler. Day 1 of our trip was all about traveling. We arrived in Seattle around 11:30am and stopped in at REI for a few odds and ends, especially fuel for our camp stove. We then headed toward Whistler with a grand tour of downtown Vancouver (not sure that was necessary but it's what happened, very cool city). The Whistler area is amazingly beautiful with it's snowpacked peaks and many lakes.
The Via Ferrata Mountain climb was cancelled due to snowpack on the mountain so we had to move to plan B, which will now consist of a backcountry horseback riding trip.
Today (Wednesday) it is raining, plus Tiffany is not feeling too well (we spent Monday night in the ER) so we moved her Bungee jump to Friday. The plan today is to visit the Aboriginal Cultural Center, explore the Whistler/ Blackcomb Villages and try to get Tiff well. We will hit the Peak to Peak Gondola and hiking trails as well. We will get some pictures up here tonight, as it is amazingly gorgeous here.
Hey Susan, Kim and Tiffany!!! Glad you guys made it OK. Sorry to hear about Tiff, I hope she gets better quickly! Wishing you guys the best trip ever! Looking forward to more blog posts and especially photos!
