Aboriginal Boat

Kim and Tiff by the river (too rainy and cloudy to get good outside pics)
Day two was rainy but we had planned for that. We went to the Skwxwu7mesh Lilwat7ul Cultural Center (Aboriginal museum). We learned about the Lil Wat and Squamish Nations that live in the area. We learned many of the stories and mythology of the area. It was really well done and very interesting. Of course I am loving the totem poles and think if the tree in my front yard is really dead, a nice Totem pole would be a great replacement ;-)
We wondered around the villages and checked out the shops and then while Tiff went back for a nap, Kim and I checked out the brewery. I enjoyed a Big Wolf Bitter and Kim had a Lifty Lager. Our plan was to go enjoy some yummy fondue at the Bavarian, but when we arrived it was closed, so had sushi instead.
Day 3 has already begun as I write this and the sun is out (although it is suppose to rain at some point). This morning we are headed to the Peak 2 Peak Alpine Experience. After taking the Gondola up Whistler Mountain we will take another Gondola which has an unsupported span of 3,024 kilometers and is 436 metres above the valley floor to Blackcomb peak. If we are able we will also take the Peak Express up to the very top of Whistler Peak, over a glacier which will be open for skiing in a couple of weeks.
This afternoon we will head up to Mount Currie to enjoy some horseback riding.
Check back later and we will have pictures from the day.
